Trend: Heat Maps

For the longest time as a web designer I struggled with balancing the latest UI trend (what everyone else was doing) with what I or more to the point, my boss or clients wanted, and without data it’s all opinion – and what’s that one saying.. opinions are like something… hmmm, I can’t remember. Anyway, using heat maps allows you to place all the speculation, guessing, and opinions in the right spot, the trash can, so you can focus on real data about how visitors are actually using your website and make informed thoughtful decisions about your UI. Everyone sing along… Feel feel feel the heat!
